Machine Learning Interviews O'Reilly course resources -- April edition
Slides to come after the course is over!
Hi, all! Thanks for being part of this newsletter, where I gather useful machine learning career resources for you!
In April’s edition of my O’Reilly bootcamp, Machine Learning Interviews, I’ve been asked these additional questions:
What are your thoughts on automatic resume filtering with ATS (applicant tracking systems)?
I don’t personally know the answer, but will take Gergely Orosz’s word for his observations. Do I think there are keyword searches for ATS like how LinkedIn does it? Yes, I believe so. But I don’t think they will automatically reject you due to those keyword searches. At one job, I’ve personally had to screen a stack of 50 resumes while a colleague screened another stack, for the same job posting, so in that situation, there were definitely humans in the loop.

Where can I learn more about MLOps?
Here’s a video series on O’Reilly where I’ve spoken, and many other MLOps leaders share their experiences: Link
Also check out MLOps Learners, a community organized by ML leaders such as Eugene Yan, Chip Huyen, and more! Disclaimer, I’m also on the committee 😄 - Link
And there you have it, 2 FAQs I’ve gotten throughout the course! I hope it’s helpful — don’t hesitate to reach out on LinkedIn or share this newsletter with a friend!
One last thing — I need your help! I develop video games on the weekend. My 3rd game is about dogs hacking into the matrix! We launched crowdfunding on Kickstarter, check out the backer rewards such as cute stickers and cameo 🐶
The game features:
🐶Cute doggos! Shiba inu, Labrador retreiver
🕵️♂️Hacker doggos
😈Villain doggos
Check it out on Kickstarter and share with people you know that might enjoy a hacker dog mystery game! Every bit of support helps us get the word out 🙏
